A Slight Discrepancy
If you have studied the map carefully for a while, as I feel I have,
you may have noticed two factors that point to a slight discrepancy
in the map layout; the first of these is the bend in Pennsylvania Avenue.
It is clear from looking at the map, that if the Capitol Building had been
positioned a bit to the south, then the avenue would have been straight
all the way from Georgetown in the NW to the river in the SE.

This image shows the real Penn. Ave. in purple and the straightened avenue in red. As you can see, both end points are the same,
and the old version (in purple) agrees with the straightened version in the northwest (that is between Georgetown and the White House).
My first presumption would be that since the upper segment of Penn Ave is part of the pentagram,
that it would be the "correct segment. The fact that it points to the same spot on the river
as the real PA, appears to support this idea as well. It looks like the Capitol has been displaced to the North
for some reason.
Note that when we draw the right side of the triangle in
the map (yellow below), it intersects the N-S axis at the Capitol Building, but below the Capitol's location. It doesn't take much to construct
a new rectangle using the triangles formed by the pentagram. The forms of Metatron's Cube start to become apparent.
Note that the streets were numbered starting at 0 at Capitol Street
which forms the N-S axis through the CB. This image shows the pentagram
and triangle centered on 16th Street, the N-S axis through the WH. The
straightened Penn. Ave. crosses the 0 axis below the CB, and crosses the 32nd Street
axis where N. Street, which runs through Scott Circle, meets that (in
Georgetown). N Street also crosses the 0 axis above the CB, where New York
Avenue meets that. Extending NYA to the southwest locates the fourth
corner of this rectangle which results from straightening Penn Ave.
We add N Street from Georgetown through Scott Circle to the intersection of NY and Capitol, to the complex of "correct" parts of the map/cube.

Pentagram Points
Interestingly, the wide corners of the pentagram at Washington
Circle and Mt Vernon Square, effectively quarter this area between Capitol
and 32nd Streets, while the top corners at Logan and DuPont Circles
quarter the section between 8th and 23rd. These last two are on 13th
and 19th Streets, numbers associated with Metatron's Cube. In this case, the pentagram
is providing standard of measure for this design.
In the image above, everything that is painted green, is related to the
offset of the CB from the straight PA. For instance, if the CB had been
where the purple circle is now PA would be where the red line is, moving
the Archives Building to the south. Ironically, the building's present
position falls right on the red line, but it would have to be moved out of
the street there.
Moving the CB would also have the effect of repositioning Maryland
Avenue which helps locate the Jefferson Memorial. The location of the Mall
and the Lincoln Mem. and Wash Mmt would have been effected.
Topography
Looking at a topographic representation of Jenkins Heights in 1791, we
see that the position, on this axis, that would have yielded a straight
PA, falls on the side of a steep hill.
I contend that the planners stayed on the same axis line to preserve the spacing in the western part of the city effected
by the points of the pentagram, and moved the CB to it's current location "off line". The E-W line from this location, combined with
the N-S line through the WH, produce an angle of 19.5 degrees at the CB, and a triangle with sides in a 1:3 ratio, that any Mason would love. Can you
really believe that it could be evil to play with numbers?
The Map Cube
Here we see an idealized verion of the shortened, 13 circle Metatron's
Cube, superimposed on the DC map. The three axes that determine the six
directions in space (black lines) are provided by 16th Street,
Pennsylvania and New York Avenues. You can see how the displacement of the
Capitol Building has resulted in the mis-alignment of Penn Ave, which
moved the Archives Building (on PA between the CB and WH), the Wash Mmt,
the Lincoln Mml, and the Jeff Mml.
Note that, while the Lincoln Mml. does lie in line with the axis at 23rd
Street, as well as the line from the CB running through the Wash Mmnt, it
does not correlate to a feature on the tree/cube. It is the largest
monument which does not fit, and derives from the McMillan Plan of 1901.
As I point out elsewhere, several elements of the 1901 plan were never
adopted, and those responsible for that plan, appear not to have been part
of the inner circle of planners who are in control recently. The placement
of the LM emphasizes that fact.
