God Made the Whole Fabric of the World Proportional to a Man's Body
The first measures are always said to have derived from the body of a man, as God formed the world in such a manner that the one is called the Greater World (macro-cosmos) and the other one called the lesser world (microcosmos). Having been made in the image of both God and the world, God, the world and man become synonomous, and the human body becomes the standard of measure of the world.
