Enoch's Cube is described as featuring a triangle and the name of God. Metatron's Cube is composed of triangles and hexagons. The name of God that is referred to is YHVH that adds up to 10+5+6+5, or 26. The spheres on the middle pillar of the 10 sphere tree are numbered 1, 6, 9 and 10 for a total of 26.

Genesis 1:26 mentions that man was made in God's imagine. The letters of the name look like this:

Made in God's image, male and female, it says in 1:27, as if God's image were both male and female. If we divide the name, we get yod and HVH; since He is synonymous with E, HVH becomes Eve. The name has a male component, yod, and a female component, Eve, that Adam called the mother of all living (Gen 3:20), the Divine Female.

Shekinah

This is the Tree of Life with the spheres numbered and the planets assigned to the spheres. Note how the Earth is depicted as being seperated from the rest of the spheres. Just as the beginning of the year was seen as analogous to both incarnation and the creation of the Universe, the tree depicts the soul's journey as analogous to the process of the Creation or Evolution. Ontogeny recapitualtes phylogeny as they say: the embryonic developement of the individual repeats the evolution of the species.

The idea is that the World, as well as the Soul, is viewed as being in exile from the Source. Kabbalists use the phrase 'exiled bride', and give it the name of Shekinah.

The Shekinah represents collectively the divine sparks in materiality, the soul, the world, and the divine presence in the temple, the stone or cube or angel from heaven, Eve exiled from the Garden. Shekinah is the female half of the image of God viewed as the Creation.

The tree allegorizes the soul's descent as a lightning strike coming from the heavens to the earth, at other times the metaphor of a falling star is used. The soul and materiality in general are seen as a 'stone that fell from heaven'. Greeks use the word emanate. The world was not created from nothing, it emanated (flowed over) from God; it is the body of God. God is in the world; as Rev 21 says "the tabernacle of the Lord is with men and he will dwell with them". Ezek 37:27 reads "My tabernacle also shall be with them, I will be their God, and they shall be my people".

The Shekinah is the Divine Presence in the Tabernacle in the Desert, the Holy of Holies in the Temple (which is cube shaped), and the New Jerusalem from Rev 21 (also a cube) which is described as 'coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride for her husband'. From this derives the conceptual split between the Sky Father and the Earth Mother, as well as poetry about the Royal Wedding.

Gnostics refer to it as the Divine Spark in all matter. While Hasidism refers to gathering up these sparks, Alchemy uses terms like extracting gold from gross matter.

In terms of Enoch's story, we know that the cube symbolizes materiality, while the triangle represents divinity, the triangle in the cube is the divine spark in all material forms; the name in the triangle in the cube represents the Gnosis, the possibility of our realizing this knowledge that lies hidden within us, since we are of it. The Gnostic/Masonic salvation depends on realizing the divine presence in ourselves. The (conceptual) return trip entails a realization of where it is that you have been and 'come from'.

We see two distinct Gnostic views of the nature of human incarnation, both of which describe the soul as being unconscious of it's 'divine origin'; while one (Greek) sees the soul and the world as manifestations of the divine, the other (Egyptian) characterizes the soul as being imprisoned in the body.

You will note that these creation stories differ greatly from those that introduce the notion of rebellion, the two that are most well known are the Fall of Man and the Rebellion of Satan or Prometheus, which focus our attention on division and seperation. In these stories, the exile from Paradise was man's own fault; making the world created by God good, but man bad because he disobeyed. You can still recognize Lucifer the light bringer in the description in Luke.10:18 I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

This is the pessimistic side of Gnosticism which sees the world, not as a manifestation, a revelation of the divine, but as seperated from and inferior to (below) God. In this view "nature is opposed to God, and even accursed and by means of it and of man, God was thwarted and driven from his own design in the construction of his own creation". Ironically if Satan is light then the Source is Darkness. Serpents are characterized differently by different gnostic groups, being a symbol of wisdom and life to some and sin and death to others.

Rev 6 - Saturn

Remember that the sun is at the center of the tree at sphere 6. In Revelation Chapter 6 we read "the stars of heaven fell unto the earth", a statement of the Greek theme. [Note that these two (earth and stars) are the extremes of the nine worlds image.] In verse 12 it mentions eclipses of both the sun and moon (the sun black as sackcloth and the moon as blood), which is two more spheres on the middle pillar of the figure accounted for; only Saturn is missing.

Earlier we see Jupiter represented as a horse/man with a bow and a crown; Jupiter rules Sagittarius who is part horse and part man and holds a bow. Mars is represented by a red horse and a sword; Mars the war god rules Scorpio. The sign for Libra is scales, and we see a black horse and the rider has scales in his hand; Venus rules Libra. Mercury rules Virgo that is symbolized by the pale horse follwed by death and hell; Mercury is the entity that guides the soul on it's journey.

Rev 6 alludes to all the 'planets' but Saturn, which was 'displaced' in the move to 10 spheres. Saturn's old position is not marked on the tree and is called Daath, the Abyss, beyond which lies God, space and time. You may want to read up and meditate on how Jupiter replaced his father Saturn in the legends, after Saturn had castrated Ouranos, his father. Be sure to include a look at Sigmund Freud's "Totem and Taboo" which focuses on patricide.

As the story goes Saturn castrates his father Ouranous and assumes control, after which Jupiter, Saturn's son, seizes control from him. If this is an allegorical tale suggesting that gods have been ritualistically replaced as the favored one, it appears as if the move to 10 spheres coincided with Jupiter's promotion, actually Saturn's retirement, the replacement of the Titans by the Olympians. Saturn is re-issued as Satan and Pan becomes the Devil, Lucifer becomes Prometheus.

10 Spheres

Note that the move to 10 spheres renumbers all the previous ones, so that 1 is now 2, and 2 is 3 and so forth. Note how these new number designations resemble the related sign for the associated planets; 4 is the easiest to see. In other words, the number 4 looks like the sign for Jupiter.

The number 3 becomes the sign for Saturn by moving the crossing line. The earth sign is composed of the elements of the number 10. You can see the number 8 in the sign for Mercury. The z in zodiac looks like the number 2. The arching number 9 looks like the crescent moon. The sun sign is the circle in the number 6. 5 and 7 take a bit more work, but it is easier if you cross your sevens like some people used to.

Let me present this in a different manner: if you had two sets of cards or coins that had the numbers from 1 to 10 on some and the signs for the celestial bodies on the others, you wouldn't have any trouble matching which ones go together. The timing of the institution of this 'game plan' that involves the use of symbols for number and planets that look like one another must coincide with the inclusion of Arabic Numbers into the symbolic mix.

I suggest that the move from nine to ten spheres was a 'paradigm shift' that moved Saturn from top of the bottom, to the bottom of the top. Saturn is now at the third sphere instead of at two. Since there is no magic square for 2, Saturn needed to be at 3. Also if you start numbering at two, you run out of the seven planets at 8, not 9; and it wouldn't do not to have both 3 and 9 covered in this system.

Magic Squares

The number of the (so called) Magic Squares correlate to the numbers of the spheres on the tree, that is the Square of Saturn is a 3x3 grid, Jupiter's is a 4x4 grid, Mars' square is 5x5, etc. The Magic Squares are square grids of numbers, where any row, column or diagonal adds to the same number.

The 3x3 grid is made up of the first nine numbers and any row adds to 15. The four grid is made of the first 16 numbers etc. Note that the surface area of the seven planetary squares (from 3 to 9) range from 9, to 16, to 25, 36, 49, 64 and 81; the amount of numbers in each square.

The square of the sun features the first 36 integers in a 6x6 grid that totals to 666, associating that number with the sun. The only other reference to this number in the Bible is where it counts "the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year" as being "six hundred threescore and six talents of gold". Sol means sun and gold has always been associated with the sun.

A system that correlates planetary spheres to mythological figures, to numbers to geometric figures, and has the numbers look like the sign for the celestial body that they are correlated with - all dependent upon a figure of a 'tree' composed of 11 points and 22 paths.
