DC Mall As Tree Of Life?
At least two people (or groups) have suggested that the DC planners intended for the Mall, which connects the Capitol Building in the east to the Lincoln Memorial in the west, to serve as a depiction of the Tree of Life. One version puts the crown in the west, while the other puts it in the east. We begin with the former.

The Big Picture
This is an edited "cut and paste" from a site dramatically entitled: FORMER SATANIST INFORMS US THAT GOVERNMENT MALL IN WASHINGTON, D.C., WAS ORIGINALLY CONCEIVED AS A SATANIC SEPHIROTH TREE OF LIFE!

Subtitle: In NEWS1040, we reported that the street layout between the White House and the Capitol was laid out in Satanic symbols; now, we are informed of the Big Picture: the entire Government Mall is laid out in the Satanic symbol, the Sephiroth Tree of Life!
In NEWS1040, we broke the story that the street layout connecting the White House with the Capitol was originally laid out by Masonic architect, L'Enfant in 1792, so that the streets formed the evil Goats Head of Mendes Pentagram encompassing the White House -- plus the Masonic Compass, Square, and Rule from the White House to the Capitol.
As we stated in this original article, the occultist believes that symbols reverberate with inherent power from the moment they are created, power that is made even more effective since only the Adepts of Satanic societies and covens know the truth.

[Note that 1) not everyone characterize the Kabbalah as Satanic; it is merely Jewish Mysticism, 2) these people were NOT the ones who "broke the story" about the masonic symbols, as Ed Decker had published a book about it in 1992, 3) there is no evidence that Pierre L'Enfant was a Mason, and 4) the pentagram symbolozes much more than the Evil Goat's Head.]

When you compare this Sephiroth Tree of Life (below left), to The Mall overhead view, (below right), you will see that this former Satanist was correct when he told us that the inspiration for The Mall was the Sephiroth Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life is also depicted a little differently when it is shown in the figure of Adam, the first man (below); as you can see, this depiction does not have the left and right points in a perfectly straight line as depicted on the left. The Mall design is clearly the Adam Tree of Life.

Even though Mackey in the left illustration (above) depicts the left and right points in a vertical straight line, he is clearly relating the entire image to Adam, the man, with the shaped left and right points, as we noted.
Thus, we can see that The Mall was drawn to represent the Adam depiction of the Sephiroth Tree of Life, the Archetypal Man; This is the reason the points on each side of The Mall are sloped, not in a vertical line.

You should note that someone has taken liberties with this Adam Kadmon version of the Tree. First of all, Splender and Firmness (as they are labeled above) belong at the hips, not at the thighs (that is, above the Foundation), just as Justice and Mercy belong at the shoulders, and not off in space, since the idea is to correlate the spheres of the tree to the human form here.
When they say that "this depiction does not have the left and right points in a perfectly straight line as depicted on the left" (meaning the Mackey image), they are admitting their ignorance of what is going on in the AK image. I repeat; the purpose of the image is to correlate the tree spheres with the human body, so the four points of the shoulders and hips make a rectangle around the heart at the center (Beauty). That's just the facts. the attempt to map the AK image to the map fails as illogical, since their premise is wrong.
Next we look at the supposed placement of the sephera in the Mall Tree. I have enlarged the and added numbers to the image below. Qutoing from the site again:

When you look at The Mall overview, you can identify the major points of the Sephiroth:

1. Lincoln Memorial is the top position, the Crown

2. The circular formation to the immediate left forms the Male position, Intelligence

3. The circular formation to the immediate right forms the Female position, Wisdom

4. The Jefferson Memorial on the left forms the position, Justice

5. The White House on the right forms the position, Mercy

6. The Washington Obelisk monument forms the position, Beauty.

7. The rectangular formation on the straight diagonal line running from the Jefferson Memorial to the Capitol forms the position, Splendor

8. The oval formation on the straight diagonal line running from the White House to the Capital forms the position, Firmness

9. The rectangular formation in front of the Capitol forms the position, Foundation

10. The Capitol Building forms the position, Kingdom

Please be aware that 1) in the Kabbalah, the numbering of the sephera moves first to the right, so that this depiction is backwards, 2) to be authentic, 4,5, 7 and 8 should form a rectangle, and 3) 6 should be a lot lower; where the diagonals of that rectangle cross. The above image shows 4, 5 and 6 in a line.
Note, as well, that this image actually only features 5 "real" elements, the White House, Wash Mmt, the Jeff Mml, the Lincoln Mml, and the Capitol; the other 5 spheres are circular or round figures in the walkways.
Anyway you look at it, the AK image above is clearly indicating the sex organs with the sphere named foundation. One would think that evil/satanic/masons would put some kind of phallis imagery there in their version of the tree; wouldn't you? These people point to a rectangular formation in front of the Capitol as that location. How much sense does that make?
I recommend also that the Washington Monument makes a poor choice for Beauty, but a good one for Foundation, as a phallic emblem. The tree does not work on the mall, but does work on the 16th Street axis.

The McMillan Plan

But here's the clencher, the image that this site is using to depict the mall is actually a copy of the planning map of "proposed changes" to the map, that were formulated by the McMillan Commission in 1901. As you can see from a recent map of the mall area, most of these changes were never instituted.
One of the first things you notice is the ellipse, ie not circle. That is, where the McMillan Plan calls for a circle, an ellipse was substituted. Also, the Jefferson Memorial is a little bit further south. The important things is that the plazas that were to account for points, 2, 3, 7 and 8 aren't there. (Their point 8 is my point 7, the National Archives Building.)

Note the attempt to establish symmetry and a cruciform shape (a cross). I suggest that, far from being Satanists, the people from the 1901 McMillan Commission were more likely Christians, and that may be why their plan was not instituted as it was envisioned.
You may recall that the Washington Monument was positioned east of the north-south line running through the White House and south of the east-west line running through the Capitol Building, that's why the line in the 1901 plan running from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial is running "down hill".
Looking a little bit closer we can see how the McMillan Commission was attempting to restore an emphasis to the point where the north-south and east-west axes cross. Looking at the recent map (above) you can see that this did not come about, for some reason. [Read "hidden hands"] Note how the 1901 plan features a circle instead of an ellipse south of the White House.

If you read about the 1901 Plan, you will find that, "The commissioners were particularly impressed with Paris, seeing it as a 'well-articulated city--a work of civic art.' The broad Parisian avenues and gardens of Versailles were a great influence on the men, and with their predilection for the Beaux-Arts style, an understandable influence on the final plan."

Here is a map of Versailles that you can compare to the 1901 plan.

All in all we can say that the attempt to match the tree to the Adam Kadmon figure was flawed, the attempt to m atch that figure to the mall was flawed, and the whole thing is negated by the fact that they are presenting a version of a plan that was never carried out in the form that it is being presented.

The following is taken from a web site that features a sample chapter from a recently published book entitled "DaVinci in America":
"In (their book) "Talisman", Hancock and Bauval also raise the possibility that the street-plan of Washington D.C. incorporates the Kabbalistic 'Tree of Life' symbol. They see the Capitol building as the 'head' of the esoteric symbol (designated as 'Kether'), with the Tree of Life unfolding to the west. One of the major landmarks which they see sitting within this symbol, at a point corresponding to the Kabbalistic sephirah of 'Tipheret', is the gigantic obelisk of the Washington Monument."
Note that the top of the Tree is the Crown, not the head, since all three of the top sephera are located in the head. Kether is the Crown, not the head.
I welcome you to try and find elements in the DC map that correlate to the other 8 sephera; I couldn't do it. Clearly, this is another attempt by someone unfamiliar with both the Kabbalah and the Tree of Life to impress others with even less knowledge of the subject.
