John Russel Pope designed the Archives Building, which is situated at the Seventh Sphere, and numbered 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, as well as the House of the Temple (at sphere 1), and the Jefferson Monument (at sphere 10).

The National Archives Building which was designed like a temple, covers an entire city block and opened in 1937.
